Teja Sajja, fresh off the success of Hanu-Man and Mirai, is set to return to the big screen with Zombie Reddy 2 Nxt Lvl. The first glimpse of the sequel, released on Sajja’s birthday, has generated buzz by showcasing a more expansive and intense zombie universe. The video opens with an animated sequence set to a Rayalaseema folk tune, before shifting to Hyderabad and highlighting a gripping action scene at Charminar, where Sajja’s character faces off against a horde of zombies. Notably, the makers emphasized that no artificial intelligence was used in creating the glimpse, opting instead for practical effects and animation.
Zombie Reddy 2 Nxt Lvl marks the Telugu directorial debut of Suparn S. Varma, with the story penned by original director Prasanth Varma. The film also brings Kannada star Upendra and Shanaya Kapoor into the fold, adding to its pan-Indian appeal. Produced by T.G. Vishwa Prasad and Krithi Prasad under the People Media Factory banner, the technical team includes music composer Gowra Hari, cinematographer Abhinandan Ramanujam, and editor Vijay Velukutty. Writing credits go to Hussain Dalal, Abbas Dalal, Prasanth Varma, and Suparn S. Varma, with Subbu K handling dialogues and Banglan overseeing production design.
The sequel is planned for a multilingual release in 2027, spanning Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Nepali, and Japanese. While the film was initially announced for a Sankranthi 2027 release, the latest promotional material does not confirm the festival window, suggesting a possible shift in schedule. Sajja’s growing popularity, especially with Mirai making waves in Japan, is expected to boost anticipation for this ambitious project.
