Vijay’s much-anticipated film "Jana Nayagan," produced by KVN Productions, has been rocked by a massive leak just ahead of its planned release, sending shockwaves through the Tamil film industry. Marketed as Vijay’s final cinematic outing, the film’s entire content surfaced online in high-definition, sparking immediate legal and industry-wide responses.
The incident unfolded amidst a prolonged certification battle, with the leak first appearing as a 5-minute clip featuring Vijay’s introduction before the full movie emerged on the night of April 9-10, 2026. CBFC, which certified the movie, was quick to dismiss speculation about its involvement, stating, "Reports alleging that the Tamil film 'Jana Nayagan' has been leaked from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) are baseless and false." CBFC further clarified, “Access to the content is password-protected, and the KDM remains solely with the producer/filmmaker.”
Cyber Crime authorities are now actively pursuing the perpetrators, using forensic tools and IP tracking to trace the source of the leak. Evidence, including a watermark labeled "EDIT REF 14012026," points towards an insider breach during post-production. KVN Productions has vowed strict action against offenders, warning that sharing or reposting any leaked content is a serious criminal offense.
The film fraternity, with stars like Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Chiranjeevi, Suriya, and Vijay Deverakonda, has strongly condemned this act, calling it a direct attack on creative art. As investigations intensify, fans and the industry await updates on the probe and the film’s official release status.
