Kannada superstar Yash’s much-awaited film Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups is now officially set to hit cinemas on June 4, putting an end to all postponement rumours. The team’s latest announcement brings clarity after the film, originally scheduled for March 19, was shifted due to the Middle East crisis, which had sparked fresh speculation on social media about further delays.
Riding on the back of Yash’s phenomenal popularity post-KGF, director Geetu Mohandas teams up with the star for this high-octane project. The film’s teaser, which went viral for its stunning visuals and ambitious narrative, has fans excited across the country. Alongside Yash, the cast boasts names like Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth, and Tara Sutaria. Produced by Venkat K Narayana under the KVN Productions banner, Toxic has been shot in Kannada and English, and will also release in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, and Malayalam.
To further boost the buzz, Yash and Namit Malhotra will represent the film at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, where Yash is also expected to spotlight his next big venture, Ramayana. The makers have assured fans of a "massive promotional campaign" as the release nears.
With its unique blend of scale and storytelling, Toxic is shaping up to be a major theatrical event. Audiences can look forward to more promotional surprises as the countdown to June 4 begins.
